Lowry Elementary Plant Sale

Welcome to Lowry Elementary’s Plant Sale.  All plants on this website are available for pre-order from February 1-28.  Once orders close on February 28, Lowry students will begin planting seeds to fulfill your order.  All plants will be grown using organic methods – some varieties also use organic seed and are noted as such.  Plants will be available for pick-up at Lowry Elementary in early May.

All plants will be grown at Lowry Elementary by Lowry students. While it might be hard to think forward four months to summertime, your pre-order allows us to grow exactly what you need.  So start thinking of flowers overspilling your pots, ripe red tomatoes, the smell of freshly harvested basil, crispy cucumbers and more zucchini than you know what to do with – gardening season will be here before you know it and we’ve got your plant selections covered! 

All proceeds from the Plant Sale will benefit the gardening program at Lowry Elementary School.  Every student at Lowry gets to experience the process of growing food from seed to table firsthand and to learn where their food comes from.  Seeds planted inside this winter will be transplanted into our 1000 square foot Victory Garden in May and then harvested in the fall and used in the school cafeteria, offered for sale at the student-run Farmer’s Market and distributed to Lowry families who lack access to fresh food.  In the past five summers, over 1700 pounds of food was grown in the garden and used by the Lowry community.
